Seoul’s food scene just got even more exciting! Eatanic Garden has made an impressive debut at No. 25 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2025, and to top it off, it’s also snagged the Highest New Entry Award, sponsored by Lavazza.
Eatanic Garden’s name is a fun wordplay—both “botanic garden” and “eatanic garden” sound the same in Korean. And just like its name suggests, the space is a lush urban oasis designed to awaken the senses. Instead of a typical menu, diners get an illustrated guide showcasing the main ingredients they’ll be tasting. It’s an interactive way to experience food, keeping things fresh and exciting.
Chef Son Jong-Won, who also heads the kitchen at L’Amant Secret, brings his creative vision to Eatanic Garden, blending tradition with a modern touch. His dishes highlight fermentation and aging—key elements of Korean cuisine—while adding unexpected twists. A standout? Hanwoo beef served three ways, paired with fermented cauliflower and winter vegetables shaped into delicate snowflakes. It’s familiar yet completely reimagined.
Perched on the 36th floor, Eatanic Garden isn’t just about the food. The views are just as breathtaking. With seating designed for couples, guests can soak in the stunning Seoul skyline while enjoying their meal. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic night out or a special celebration.
Winning the Highest New Entry Award is just the beginning. With its immersive approach to dining and Chef Son’s innovative take on Korean flavours, Eatanic Garden is setting a new standard in fine dining.
Seoul is already a major player in the global food scene, and Eatanic Garden’s success only adds to the city’s reputation. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Chef Son and his team!
