September 4, 2025

Le Normandie at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok will reopen on 20 September 2025 with a fresh new chapter. The restaurant is welcoming Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef, to take charge of the kitchen.

A New Chapter for a Bangkok Icon

Le Normandie first opened in 1958 and has been one of Bangkok’s most famous fine-dining spots for decades. It’s known for hosting celebrities, royalty, and serious food lovers from around the world. Now, with Anne-Sophie Pic leading the way, the restaurant is ready to bring a new style of French dining while keeping its long history alive.

About Chef Anne-Sophie Pic

Anne-Sophie Pic is one of the world’s most respected chefs. Her restaurant in France, Maison Pic, has held three Michelin stars since 2007. She now has more Michelin stars than any other female chef in the world. Her cooking style focuses on balance, lightness, and carefully layered flavours. In 2024, Maison Pic was also named Best Restaurant in the World by Tripadvisor.

A Fresh New Look

Le Normandie’s interiors are also getting a full makeover. Parisian design duo Humbert & Poyet are giving the space a modern and elegant update. Expect soft tones, clean lines, and beautiful views of the Chao Phraya River, creating the perfect backdrop for an intimate dining experience.

This is Anne-Sophie Pic’s first restaurant in Southeast Asia, making it a major moment for Bangkok’s dining scene. With her creative approach, rare ingredients, and personal touch, Le Normandie is set to become one of the city’s most talked-about restaurants when it reopens.
