Named Asia’s Best Female Chef 2025, Chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam is the chef-owner of Baan Tepa in Bangkok, Thailand.
She refined her skills at New York’s International Culinary Centre and under the mentorship of Dan Barber at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, celebrated for its commitment to the farm-to-table ethos and ranked No. 28 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2019.
Chef Tam’s approach centres on the farm-to-table model, prioritising locally sourced ingredients to enhance flavours and support local farmers. This not only helps reduce food waste but also underpins her restaurant operations, promoting respect for natural resources and community engagement.
Chef Tam is also recognised as the World’s First Thai Female to reach for Two Michelin Stars at her restaurant Baan Tepa, further solidifying her status in the culinary world.
