Bees by Narisawa Launches in Singapore: Exclusive Dining with Michelin-Starred Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa

By Liza Mae Dumo | August 8, 2024

Singapore is renowned for attracting top-tier chefs from across the globe, and this August 19, the city will welcome the acclaimed Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa. Known for his two-Michelin-starred restaurant Narisawa in Tokyo, he will unveil Bees by Narisawa at the Mandala Club. This venture is his second international restaurant, following the launch of Narisawa Shanghai in August 2023.

Despite the exclusivity of the Mandala Club, Bees by Narisawa will be accessible to the public for its initial five weeks, offering a rare glimpse into what will soon become a members-only culinary destination starting in October.

Bees by Narisawa will highlight Chef Narisawa’s concept of innovative Satoyama cuisine, which honours Tokyo’s street culture and emphasises a strong connection with nature. Though the menu remains undisclosed, it is expected to feature sustainable Japanese ingredients, carefully sourced seafood, and charcoal-grilled meats, all crafted with European culinary techniques. The aim is to elevate everyday Japanese street food with natural ingredients akin to those used at Narisawa in Tokyo.

One potential staple could be Narisawa’s celebrated “Bread of the Forest 2010,” featuring local tropical fruits.

Wine enthusiasts can look forward to an impressive 700-strong wine list, including terroir-driven Old World labels and a superb selection of Dom Pérignon champagnes. Additionally, the menu will feature the exclusive hand-brewed sake from Masuizumi by Masuda Sake Company, personally selected by Narisawa, underscoring his commitment to quality and exclusivity.

Bees by Narisawa promises an unparalleled culinary journey that marries the authenticity of Japanese street food with the sophistication of fine dining, making it a must-visit destination in Singapore.
