If you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine, you’ve likely heard of Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu. With over 70 locations worldwide, this popular beef katsu chain has now opened its doors in Singapore.
Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu, home to the Kyoto Katsugyu Gyukatsu Zen, is renowned for its thick, lean cuts of marbled beef, coated in their signature koromo batter. The beef is deep-fried to perfection, resulting in a crispy exterior with a medium-rare centre, giving each bite a tender, juicy texture. Favourite cuts include sirloin, tenderloin, chuck tail flap, tongue, and even A5 Miyazaki Wagyu beef sirloin.
At the Singapore outlet, diners can choose from a variety of cuts, including the half-and-half option, which combines sirloin and tenderloin. True to the original Japanese experience, you can grill your beef on a hotplate if you prefer it more cooked than medium-rare.
To elevate your dining experience, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu offers a range of condiments and dipping sauces. These include citrus sauce with Japanese radish, Kyoto dashi curry, fresh wasabi, togarashi miso, rich umami onsen egg, cabbage, and AKA miso soup, all of which enhance the flavours of the gyukatsu.
Additionally, the restaurant serves an impressive selection of sake and nihonshu, such as Okunomatsu Yuzo Toro, Kiku-Masamune, and Momokaya.
Now open at 252 North Bridge Road, #B1-63/64, Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore 179103, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu is ready to satisfy your cravings for a unique twist on Japanese katsu.
